Hello all.
In 7 years since we've been in business, you've never seen a post like this--and you mostly likely never will again. However, I simply could not let this go by without at least asking for your help and consideration. My best friend (I was the best man at his wedding) has struggled his entire life with Colitis. He's running a half marathon on Dec 6th with the CCFA (www.ccfa.org) and is looking to raise $10K. Some of you in the KB community already know Jordan personally for his photography. (He's taken pics of many of you.) Check out www.killerphotography.com or www.jordanancel.com
I've known Jordan since freshman year in college. He was a fit guy when I met him, and is now back to form but believe me, this disease is nasty. It disappears, than reappears. It will make anyone prone to depression and all sorts of other issues. This was even more pronounced in Jordan because he couldn't exercise and move like he was accustomed to. His body constantly hurt. He had to go on Prednisone for quite some time. (A particularly nasty drug.)
Long story short, all is well with him now after his surgery. (Jordan took part in years of clinical trials before resorting to surgery as the absolute last ditch effort.)
Let me tell ya. . .if you've ever met someone with this disease...well...you can see how insidious it can be. You see them through all sorts of ups and downs. And worst of all? It doesn't get the attention it deserves and demands from the medical community. It's why I'm putting this out to the community and asking for you to contribute anything you possibly can.
Times are tough and fundraising is down...and I understand that. (I only wish KBC was in a position to donate thousands, but we are not...at least not yet!) Instead, I promised him I'd make a personal donation and help him get the word out via our social media and Internet channels. This hits so close to home so I wanted to put it out there and ask you to do anything you can.
Be assured that as the guy that steers the KBC ship, I did not take writing this blog posting lightly. I am well aware that this is not necessarily par for the course for a blog post, but what Jordan is doing is extremely important to me personally. Perhaps you may find it a worthy cause as well. And if not, I apologize for the interruption. But if it does strike a chord, I would greatly appreciate anything you could do. (Or, perhaps you can pass it as well.)

Thank you again for anything you can do.
